Our process is the heart of a Dovetail Custom Homes project. The first step is to meet with the home owners to understand their home design, material preferences and any particular features they desire. The second step is to zero in on a set of house plans, a final building specification, a budget and a detailed schedule. These very important documents form the basis of the next step which is project execution. The budget and schedule are continuously tracked and are reported to the home owners in a monthly status report. Changes to the plans and specifications are made via change orders. Our process leaves no hidden surprises for the home owners or the builder. The final step is project closeout. A punch list is submitted prior to occupancy to document any issues the home owners may have noticed with the finished project.

Our Building Approach is the practical application of materials and building techniques to produce a higher quality home with more value.

Building Specifications describe the requirements for the project. Building materials, product brands, applications, quantities and other details not typically found on the home plans are documented in the specification.
